Beta preview Β· the app is in active development and the interface will change.

While you wait for the app, use it in your browser.
Report what you see, watch the live map fill in, and check The Mountain's status at a glance.

Mtn Badges + Tahoma Tokens Β· coming soon
Badges and Tahoma Tokens to reward the watchers who show up most for The Mountain. On the way, not live yet.
We care about this stuff. Here's exactly how it works.
Your phone snaps your spot to a hexagonal grid cell before anything is sent. We get the cell. We don't get your raw GPS. It stays on your device.
The public map shows reports at a wider hexagon size until enough people are reporting from a smaller one. No single report ever pinpoints a single person.
Reporting and reading the map don't need an account. Anonymous reports are first-class. Sign up if you want a streak and notifications. Skip it if you don't.
What we show the world
Aggregated community consensus, color-coded by how out The Mountain is at each hex cell. Not who reported what.
Built and used by Pacific Northwesterners since 2022.
“Every time The Mountain’s out, our Instagram and Twitter blow up with tags. It’s awesome, but I can’t keep up. So we built an app to make it dead simple for anyone to share the moment they spot The Mountain out. That’s the whole idea.”
Beta waitlist
Join the waitlist and we'll send your invite the moment a spot opens. iOS is in beta now; Android is coming next.
The iOS app is live in beta on TestFlight right now, with a wider beta launch coming Summer 2026. Sign up above to join the waitlist. Invites go out in waves to people who check the "willing to test" box, as TestFlight spots open up.
iOS is first. An Android version is planned for after we've worked the kinks out of the iOS app and the API that powers it.
Yes. Reporting, the map, status, and webcams will always be free. We may add optional premium features later (like push notifications) to cover hosting and development costs, but the basics stay free for the community.
Faster reporting from your camera and a tighter experience on mobile. Push notifications when The Mountain comes out are planned for the paid "Super Watchers" tier (nothing to announce yet). The website is always the public source of truth. The app is about making it easier to participate from your phone.
Sign up above and check the "I'm willing to test" box. We send invites in waves as TestFlight spots open up. No commitment. You can ignore the invite if your schedule changes.
We'll email you when the beta opens and when the App Store launch happens, plus the occasional update worth your time. No third-party sharing, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
